R#40 over at Crafts 4 eternity

Hi all,
It's time for another fab challenge over at crafts 4 eternity this week we want you to make your project based on the below sketch. Pop over to the blog to check out the wonderful creations from my teamies on the crafts for eternity DT, and maybe get a little inspiration!

I love having a sketch to follow, it takes a lot of the planning out of making a card I think, and leaves me plenty of time to have fun colouring my image and decided what embellishments I want to use!
At the moment I'm having lots of fun making my own embellishments using... yep you've guessed it Tim Holtz tissue tape! I love making this flowers/ rosettes with it!

The cute little image is from Pollycrafts digi images and she is called Trix, I coloured her using a mixture of copics and flexmarkers.
Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Recipe #39 Anything goes

Hi all,

Well can you believe it another week as gone by and we are at the end of September already! But it does also mean that it's time for another challenge over at crafts4eternity.

This week the challenge is anything goes, so go crazy make whatever takes your fancy! Us lucky girls who are members of the C4E DT were given some images to play with from this weeks sponsor Sassy studio designs.
I think we may have all chosen the same one so your gonna see a lot of this bathing beauty if you pop over and have a look at what my other teamies have come up with. Its quite amazing how many different and beautiful creations you can get from just one image!

I created these cute little rosettes/ flowers with Tim Holtz tissue tape, there is a tutorial on his blog, it is mega easy and very effective!

I look forward to having a look at all your fab creations this week.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

R#38 Autumn

Hi all,
Another week has gone by so it's time for another challenge at C4E. This week we are asking to see you creations inspired by autumn (in the UK it is really feeling like autumn now).
My little card has this cute little image from cuddly buddly isn't he the sweetest little squirrel!
I coloured him with my copics, and used some leaves that I cut out using my cricut.

Please pop over to the blog and see what fabulous things the my teamies have done. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

R#37 Embellishment

 Hi all,
This weeks challenge over at crafts4eternity is an embellishment recipe:
1. Birds
2. Leaves
3.Glitter
Well when I saw this challenge I knew I had just the stamp to fit! I haven't used it for absolutely ages! It's one of my very few (now I mostly use digi images) wood mounted stamps. I  coloured the image using a mixture of copics and letraset flexmarkers.

I decided that I would try a different style of card for this one and made a gate fold card. I can hardly believe it that in all the years I have been crafting I have never made one of these!
Oh yes and I decorated the inside of the card using my new Tim Holtz stamps (I'm addicted to his products!)
Look forward to seeing what all you guys do with this challenge, do have a look at all the fab work the other DT members have done.

Thanks..... Beep Beep

Hi all,
Please see the end of this post for the list of challenges I'm entering this card into.
Well I think I am sort of getting back to 'normal' I have a card in the middle of the week!
I had great fun with this really cute little image from Pollycraft called tin rose!

When I was recovering from my recent operation, I didn't manage to do any crafting for over 3 weeks but that doesn't mean that I didn't do any craft shopping! (on-line and on the shopping channels). So for this card I decided to try and use things from my stash, so all the papers are ones that have been in my stash for ages and I have neglected.
I will have to finish the inside of my cards in a similar way to the front more often, it really does add the finishing touch!

Please leave a comment to let me know what you think, I do love hearing what you think.

Challenges
Desert island Crafts challenge= at least 3 items from list, 1.Kraft paper 2. Twine 3.Buttons 4.Sentiment
Truly Scrumptious Challenges= Decorate the inside of your card
Paper Sundaes= Finishing touches (decorate the inside of your card)

Crafting when we can challenges= Do it your own way

I'm back! C4E challenge

Hi all,

It is great to be back in the crafting world! I'm feeling tons better even though I'm still recovering really (tonsilectomy few weeks ago, AWFUL).

So I'm back to DT duties, and this is for a fab challenge that is going on today over at crafts 4 eternity . The inspiration comes from a pretty little bracelet. The challenge is brown and blue, mine turned out more brown and greeny blue. That is mostly cause I took my inspiration from the picture.

When I saw this little digi from lala land crafts called dress up Marci, she just fitted prefectly! She  is so cute and the oversized necklace ties the bracelet into the challenge. I did a little paper piecing with her hat to add texture, also I cut the flower out several times to give it extra petals and again texture.

I look forward to seeing what you guys create with this challenge, do try and pop over to the other DT blogs (details in the sidebar) to see their gorg creations.

Ouch!!!

Hi all,
You may have been wondering where I've been!?
Well I had my tonsils taken out last Tuesday! I have been and still am in a lot of pain! The recovery for adults with a tonsilectomy is awful! :-(
So sorry for being missing and I look forward to being well enough to craft and be back with you all.

Click for larger view

Hi all,
Well I'm very excited to share my first DT project with you today (I'm still without my laptop!!! but my lovely mum has let me borrow hers so I can post my DT projects thanks mum!) I am now a member of the Crafts 4 eternity DT they have interesting challenges every week always 'recipes' to follow.

I had great fun with my first 'recipe' as  a DT member, it's a sketch which I always think takes some of the work out of crafting for you. I used some of this lovely new paper I have from My minds eye. It is called stomp and is one for the boys really which give me a great opportunity to use this gorgeous little puddle jumper from LORi which fitted the paper sooooo well.

Please have a look around all the other DT members blogs and see there fab projects, and I look forward to looking around at all your fab work!

Hello my crafting buddies!

For a list of the challenges I'm entering this card into please see the end of this post.

I have used another cute Pollycraft but this time one of the little girls ( I have been neglecting the girls in this set). Isn't she pretty and summery, refreshing considering the current 'summer' weather we are having here in the UK rain all day today!

I coloured her in with my copic ciao markers. I have layered the sunflower and stuck it down with silicone glue to add dimension to it.

Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Gone fishing!

Hi all,

Please see the end of this post for the list of challenges I'm entering this card into.

I used another of my favorites from Polly craft he is from one of the swings and slides digi bundles (7 digis for under £6, great value!) I love all the boys in this range, I have used a few of the others already on previous cards. Of course I coloured him with my copic caio markers

The paper is from the 'smirk' range, I haven't used anything from that range before but this fitted so well! You may also notice the tape at the top, another new addition to my stash. It is from the Tim Holtz range I just love all his stuff it so very versatile.  I have attached the little fish with thread, I like this and I think it adds to his cuteness!

Anyway thanks for looking and please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Please see the end of this post for a list of challenges I'm entering this card into.

Don't you just love this  cute little digi, another of my favorites from Pollycraft. The sentiment may not completly fit to you, but it does to me as it reminds me of when I was little and I had a teddy that I carried everywhere with me. In fact I still have him somewhere!

I have added dimesion again to him by layering his head and fluffy little slippers with silicone glue. The ticket with friends forever on it is another free digi from Marit. I have used quite a few of these and she has loads more on her blog go check it out and start creating!

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Pollycraft 100th Challenge

This card is for the 100th challenge over at Polly craft blog (I'm also entering it into Simon says stamps challenge which is stitching) using one of the new digis called little bubbas. As part of the 100th challenge celebration the theme is two fold, the main theme is celebration. The other optional theme is stars and stripes (which you can see in my background paper!)

I'm not entirely happy with the way this turned out so you may see me back again later today with another card for this challenge.

Please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

What's Cooking?

Click for larger view

Hi,

Please see the end of this post for the list of challenges I'm entering this card into.

Back to my old faithful kraft card stock! But it does go with this cute little monkey doesn't it! (think that justifies me using it :)  He is another of my favorites digital images from Polly craft I have used a number of Chester monkey images before.

I have to say his sausage has to be a veggie one! (as I'm a vegetarian) but I think I may have made it look to much like meat :)

I have added dimension to his cute little chef hat by cutting out a second hat 'embossing' it (if that's the correct term) and sticking it down with silicone glue.
